Recline

Like most artists who feel like they’re in the early beginnings of their art journey, I hold my own doubts. Painting people I feel, is not my strong suit, and I took on the challenge of painting someone reclining on a couch. I often practice and paint in my bedroom, even when space is limited- I recognise time for honing my skills is finite as well. The unique perspective along with her expression made this a joy to paint. I can’t wait to paint more people and figures to see if I can recreate the same sense of release and cheer.
