Aron B. Castro (b. 1995) was born in the Philippines and grew up in Kobe, Japan. He holds a first class BFA in filmmaking from LASALLE College of the Arts, Goldsmiths University of London. His photography embraces the narrative that light, atmosphere, and composition tell. Identity and purpose form the thematic foundation of his work; the influences of childhood, home, distance, and time. His films have screened at the European Union Film Festival, Hong Kong Fresh Wave International Film Festival, Bastau International Film Festival, and have been nominated twice for best film and directing at the National Youth Film Awards. He is currently based in Singapore working in the creative media industry.
