Dewi Andini Ismail is a Singaporean Fine Arts student from LASALLE College Of The Arts. Her works are inspired by the local Singapore community and thought-provoking themes. Dewi specialises in painting, mainly acrylic and gouache. She is currently experimenting with mixed media art, as well as studying and exploring what is beyond digital media. At a very young age, she was inspired by the notion of boundlessness and started doodling and sketching the ordinary and familiar elements around her. Her viewers are encouraged to be open to ambiguity.

Dewi’s art practice usually revolves around the idea of human connection and the relationship between others and objects. She finds the existence of human beings very engrossing yet bewildering which explains the presence of individuals in her paintings.

She is currently exploring the relationship between conscious and subconscious self and how she can create stories and portray such feelings in her painting, experimenting with formats and frames.
