Piyesta

A festival, commonly known as a “Fiesta,” is part of Filipino culture. It’s a colorful celebration of a province’s food, harvest, and patron saints. I always looked forward to family trips and celebrating Fiesta when I was a kid. I love seeing people in costumes, parades, and colorful decorations of streets and houses. This celebration is what I missed the most after being away from home.”Piyesta” is a painting inspired by the colorful decorations and patterns you see in a Fiesta. It is also my interpretation of how I see a celebration of life during these dark, challenging times.
